Meals on Wheels: Behind the Scenes with Team Garmin-Transitions

As everyone whose every bonked during a ride knows, proper fuel and hydration are key to a cyclist's performance. This is especially true when you're a professional cyclist competing in the world's most challenging races. Peter Stetina says he has to eat the caloric equivalent of a Thanksgiving dinner each day to endure the demands of the Tour de France.

In this video, Alyssa Morahan, Team Garmin-Transitions soigneur and masseuse, takes you behind the scenes in the feed zone to show you what it takes to provide a team of world-class cyclists with the nutrition they need to compete for the podium.

Bahati: Out of Compton

Bahati Foundation Pro Cycling Team and Endure Media Group announce a partnership to produce a groundbreaking entertainment documentary series preliminarily entitled Bahati: Out of Compton.

This project captures the essence of the human condition, said Endure spokesperson Matthew Hall. Rahsaan Bahati’s story is one of hope, compassion and excellence. We use cycling as a backdrop to tell Rahsaan’s story, and weave the excitement of the sport, the passion of the events and celebrity cache for tremendous impact on the community.

Bahati: Out of Compton will blend professional footage with classic and current racing footage, behind-the-scenes screen shots, video interviews and charitable events to produce an actionpacked series in high-definition. In the first season there are 6 shows with a total of 4 hours of run-time. In conjunction, Endure Media will create a dedicated online presence through digital and social media. This will catapult the efforts of the Bahati Foundation to positively impact the lives of inner-city and underprivileged youth by bringing our message into the homes of millions of viewers, said Rahsaan Bahati, Founder of the Bahati Foundation.

Bahati: Out of Compton will air in late summer/early fall 2010. Negotiations are underway with Universal Sports as the broadcast partner. Digital and online media are slated for distribution in February at www.bahatifoundation.org and www.enduremediagroup.com.
